UMOCA

Today I missed all my classes and went down to the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and it was easily the highlight of the first half of this semester. It's amazing how art has a way of speaking in such harsh ways to awaken the most brutal and the beautiful parts of humanity. Contemporary art is anything that's happening right now. Living artists making in-your-face pieces about the things we, as a society, as a species, as a successor, need to be honest with. The things in the news of today are not to be swept under the rug or ignored for a conversation about the latest Netflix binge. If we're going to keep fighting against one another can we at least fight over the damn things that matter instead of who should win "the Bachelor?"
